Q-
After publishing my
slides into a course
and attempting to
preview it locally
on my PC I get a
message -
'Adobe Flash Player
has stopped a
potentially unsafe
operation' or I get
a blank screen where
the content should
be, what causes this
to happen?
A-
If this happens it
is usually because
the security
settings for your
Adobe Flash need to
be adjusted.
Follow the steps
below to resolve:
- Go to this site: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html#117502
- At the site you will see a pop-up box near the top of the page called 'Settings Manager'
- Click on always allow and then edit locations, click add location
- Add a location - usually C:\ if that is where the course is located. If it is located somewhere else please add that location.
- Now retry the course and the error should no longer happen.
Q-
When
I
try
to
import
PowerPoint
files
into
Design
I
receive
an
error
message
and
the
files
do
not
show
up.
Why
is
this
happening?
A-
This
may
be
happening
because
your
Microsoft
PowerPoint
application
has
one
or
more
plug-ins/add-ins
installed
that
is
interfering
with
the
importation
of
the
files.
It
is
recommended
that
you
have
a
'clean'
install
of
PowerPoint
when
working
with
Dialogue
Design
to
prevent
this
issue.
Contact
Support
for
more
information
on
this.

Q- How do
I turn
'auto-advance' on or
off for the slides
that I output to a
course?

can turn this
feature on or off at
the slide level
within Design.
