How to Take a ScreenShot

A screenshot captures the content of your screen into a file that can be sent to us and will help us determine the cause of the issue you are experiencing. Below are the steps you need to take to create a screenshot :

1.  Make sure that the error is on the screen.  If it is not, then repeat the steps you took to get the error.
2.  To capture the content of your screen, press and hold down the "Alt" key on your keyboard.  It is located right beside your spacebar.

3. While holding down this key, you will then need to hit the "Print Screen" key.   This key is located in the upper right hand side of your keyboard. Nothing will seem to happen.  This is normal.  It has actually just taken a snapshot of your screen.

5. The next step is to view and save the shot.  First you must open the "Paint" program which is included with most computers. To open "Paint", click on the "Start" button in the lower left hand of your screen, then go to "Programs". You will then need to go to "Accessories"; you should find the "Paint" program in that menu.

6. Once "Paint" has opened, click on the "Edit" menu at the top of this program then select the "Paste" command.
7. If the picture is very large, it may ask you the following question:

"The image in the clipboard is larger than the bitmap.  Would you like the bitmap enlarged?"
Answer this question by clicking "YES".

8. If you do not see a picture of the error within the "Paint" window, you will need to repeat the steps from the beginning.  Make sure the error is on the screen before trying to take the snapshot, otherwise you may end up taking a snapshot of other things on your screen.

9. If you have obtained an image of your screen which shows the error you are experiencing, click on "File" in the menu at the top of your screen, then choose "Save". Save the screenshot where you will be able to find it (such as on the "Desktop").

10. You can now return to the Customer Support Request form, and attach the file by clicking on "Add Attachment", and selecting the file you have just created.
